This metric is intended to capture the amount of emissions from substances listed in the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.

List of products containing ozone-depleting substances include:

  1. Automobile and truck air conditioning units (whether incorporated in vehicles or not)

  2. Domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning/heat pump equipment

  3. Refrigerators

  4. Freezers

  5. Dehumidifiers

  6. Water coolers

  7. Ice machines

  8. Air conditioning and heat pump units

  9. Aerosol products, except medical aerosols

  10. Portable fire extinguishers

  11. Insulation boards, panels and pipe covers

  12. Pre-polymers
